A Handful of Whimsies: Current Creative Projects in Process

My creative world is a little like Wonderland itself—overflowing, unpredictable, and rarely quiet. Here’s a look at the long-term projects currently on my table:
Tarot Deck (Hand-Painted in Gouache and Ink)
I’m slowly illustrating a full tarot deck inspired by all of Lewis Carroll’s works, not just Wonderland. Each card is hand-painted in gouache and ink, balancing whimsical characters with layered symbolism. Think playful, surreal, and just a touch chaotic—the perfect tarot for curious readers and collectors alike.

Beyond the Looking Glass Adventures (Tabletop RPG)
This is my reimagining of Wonderland as a tabletop role-playing game. Players use dice, tokens, and illustrated character cards to step into the roles of tacticians, wanderers, and nonsense-makers. The rules are streamlined but flexible: you can play solo, in small groups, or with a game master guiding the chaos. It’s storytelling, strategy, and whimsy stitched together into an ever-changing adventure.

Crochet Cardigan (Handmade with Thread and Hook)
When I have idle hands, I reach for this project: a handmade crochet cardigan, double-crocheted with a 6.0 mm hook. Right now I’m finishing the back panel before moving onto the fronts and sleeves. I keep toying with the idea of adding a hood—what do you think? (Custom crochet pieces are some of my favorite slow-burn projects.)
Glow-in-the-Dark Sunflower Skirt (Wearable Art)
I’ve been developing a panel skirt pattern that ties at the waist, so it’s always a perfect fit. My latest version is a tie-dye sunflower skirt—with colors that glow in the dark. It’s wearable art designed to stand out day and night, equal parts joyful fashion and handmade craft.
Grief Painting (Healing Through Art)
This painting is deeply personal. Every detail represents part of my journey through grief—acknowledging sides of my parents I didn’t get to see, and untangling strained relationships. It’s art as a form of processing, remembrance, and resilience. Creating it has been cathartic, and I hope sharing it resonates with others navigating loss.

That’s the lineup of my long-term projects right now—some whimsical, some heavy, all made with heart. I’d love to know: Which of these would you like me to share more about in future posts?
